Brandon A. Granda is an Associate with the Firm and a recent graduate from Seton Hall University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Granda served as an intern for the City of Hoboken Corporation Counsel where he worked closely with City officials to draft ordinances and gained a background in representing municipalities in various legal matters. Mr. Granda also interned for the New York Liquidation Bureau and the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General in the Division of Criminal Justice. In addition to his various internship positions, Mr. Granda also competed and became a finalist in both the Eugene Gressmen Moot Court Competition and the Ronald J. Riccio Moot Court Competition at Seton Hall Law. Mr. Granda also served as a student attorney for Seton Hall's Juvenile Justice Clinic and was an associate editor for the Seton Hall Law Circuit Review.
During Law School, Mr. Granda served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Michael A. Shipp in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey where he gained experience in matters involving the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the Truth in Lending Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, and federal jurisdiction. Additionally, Mr. Granda also served as a judicial intern to both the Honorable Alberto Rivas, Criminal Division, in Middlesex County, and the Honorable Dennis F. Carey III, Civil Division, Civil Division, in Essex County.
Immediately before joining the Firm, Mr. Granda served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Bruno Mongiardo, in the Passaic County Vicinage of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division. While serving as a judicial law clerk, Mr. Granda further sharpened his legal skills and gained extensive experience in matters involving personal injury, civil litigation, professional malpractice, and insurance coverage disputes. As a judicial law clerk, Mr. Granda duties included mediating complex commercial and private landlord-tenant and small claims matters.
Mr. Granda is a young associate that has developed a wealth of legal and practical background throughout his legal studies. Most lawsuits are settled or can be otherwise resolved before trial. To that end, Mr. Granda is a talented negotiator and is adept to understanding the needs of clients while providing clients with an unbiased legal assessment. Where settlement is no longer an option, Mr. Granda is prepared to litigate and ensure clients receive the best possible outcome.
Mr. Granda is a member of the Warren County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Justice L. Clifford Inn of Court. During the summers, Mr. Granda donates his time to mentoring undergraduates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds aspiring to enter the legal profession by serving as moot court judge for the Summer Institute for Pre-Legal Studies (Pre-Legal Program) hosted by Seton Hall Law School.
