Paul D. Mitchell is an Associate at the firm. He was previously associated with a general practice firm in Basking Ridge, New Jersey and maintained a private solo practice. He is admitted to appear before the New Jersey Supreme and Superior Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Mitchell has extensive experience representing clients in Real Estate matters, including drafting contracts for the sale of land and residential and commercial leases. He is keenly focused on helping first-time homebuyers navigate the sometimes-intimidating process of purchasing their first home.
Mr. Mitchell understands the importance of Estate Planning for individuals and families. He counsels his clients on the critical tools for their estate plans and partners with them to draft individualized documents, including wills, durable powers of attorney, advance medical directives, and revocable living trusts. Mr. Mitchell guides estate executors and administrators through the probate and estate administration process and assists with the preparation of estate accountings.
In the area of small business, Mr. Mitchell has experience in LLC formation, drafting Operating Agreements and Shareholders' Agreements, in addition to drafting agreements for the purchase and sale of businesses and/or business assets. Mr. Mitchell also has considerable experience representing client patients at Civil Commitment hearings at psychiatric hospitals throughout the State of New Jersey as well as general Civil Litigation and Landlord/Tenancy matters.

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Mr. Mitchell was an Information Technology manager in the pharmaceutical sector. He also taught high school English at a local parochial school. Mr. Mitchell attended law school at night while maintaining his full-time managerial career. In 2007, Mr. Mitchell earned second place in the Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition at Rutgers, the State University School of Law at Newark for his paper, “An Analysis of the Copyright Implications for TURNITIN.COM.”
When not practicing law, Mr. Mitchell volunteers his time to his local community. He has coached his daughters in youth soccer, basketball, and softball. As part of a team of parent volunteers, he helped organize multiple Dodgeball Tournaments as fundraisers for Project Graduation at West Morris Central High School Mr. Mitchell volunteers at his church, St. Mark the Evangelist, where he teaches religious education. He has four daughters and he resides in Long Valley, New Jersey with his wife.
