Nicholas C. DeFuria, an associate at the firm, handles a diverse array of legal matters including municipal government, litigation and wills, trusts and estate matters. Mr. DeFuria is renowned for his fastidious and caring approach to meeting clients' needs. As a lifelong resident of Northwest New Jersey, Mr. DeFuria has an intimate understanding of the region which enables him to serve individuals with unmatched care and insight. 

Mr. DeFuria attended Drew University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in political science. While at Drew, Mr. DeFuria served as President Pro Tempore of the Student Government. He later attended Pace University Elizabeth Haub School of Law. While at law school, Mr. DeFuria gained critical experience working at the Morris County Surrogate Court and serving in the Equal Justice America Disability Rights Clinic.

Upon graduating law school, Mr. DeFuria clerked for the Honorable Mary K. Costello, P.J.Ch. in Hudson County Superior Court in Chancery Division. The Chancery Division handles much of the most factually complex and legally ambiguous civil matters providing Mr. DeFuria with a wealth of valuable knowledge as well as acute insight on the Court's inner workings. Upon the conclusion of his clerkship, he worked at a small firm where he handled estate administration and litigation matters.

In his free time, Mr. DeFuria is an avid musician. Mr. DeFuria regularly performs throughout the East Coast and Midwest with a Hackettstown-based rock band. Mr. DeFuria plays guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, tuba, euphonium, keyboard, percussion and is a formidable tenor vocalist as well.
