James is a partner in the firm's litigation group and represents individuals in personal injury and workers' compensation matters.  His cases involve catastrophic injuries and wrongful death resulting from motorcycle, automobile, truck, and other commercial vehicle accidents.  James also handles matters involving workplace injuries and construction site accidents.  James vigorously pursues his clients' legal rights through all stages of the legal process and has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients.  Recently, James obtained a $3.6 million settlement, played an integral role in a $2.25 million settlement and recovered $895,000 in connection with a construction site accident as well as $456,500 on behalf another one of the firm's injured clients.

James also represents clients in a wide range of business disputes in state and federal court.  He has served a diverse clientele, ranging from multi-national corporations to regional and local businesses.  James regularly litigates complex commercial matters involving shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, business torts, and regularly appears on emergent applications in a variety of contexts to prevent immediate harm to his clients' business operations.  Over the years, James has both successfully prosecuted and defeated numerous multi-million-dollar actions on behalf of his clients.  For example, James obtained the dismissal of a claim involving a $12 million portfolio of Loan Participation Agreements against one of the firm's banking clients.  James was also successful in defending a New Jersey municipality in a contract action seeking a total of $4.1 million in additional compensation.

James devotes significant time and effort supporting the local community.  He has served on the Board of Directors for Literacy Volunteers of Sussex County and as a wrestling coach in his hometown.  He is the Immediate Past President of the Warren County Bar Association and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at nearby Centenary University.  James also serves on several standing committees for the Warren County Bar Association, including the Civil Practice Committee.
